Today’s question comes from James, one of my blog readers. James says: Can you tell me ten common Spanish words that end in ‘dad’?
Spanish words that end in ‘dad’ are really interesting. As you probably know by now, the Spanish gender roles are very unreliable.

But there is one rule that really works all the time. And that’s the rule that says that:
Spanish nouns ending in ‘dad’: overview
Nouns ending in ‘dad’ are feminine.
All Spanish nouns ending in ‘dad’ are feminine. So all the words that we’re going to learn today are feminine.
Today I’m giving you ten very common words that you will find and hear in conversation, all the time.
Here are the ten words. I’m going to say them first in English, and then I’m going to say them in Spanish.
