If you want to go ahead and watch the video now, go here.
In the video, I give you the seven tips that most helped me become fluent in English.
And I also go through seven things you must avoid at all costs.
One of my favourite tips is number 5. Here’s part of it:
Become fluent in Spanish – Tip #5
This is one of my favourite language hacks.
If you get into the habit of finding similarities and making connections between the things you already know and the things you’re learning, you’ll master Spanish a lot, lot faster.
I don’t mean only finding similarities between Spanish words, but also with English words.
For example, many of the Spanish numbers have the same origin as some English words:
Number three, tres, and the words: trio, triangle.
Number four, cuatro, and the word: quarter.
Number twelve, doce, and the word: dozen.
And there are hundreds of everyday words with similarities in English and Spanish.
For instance, the word ‘mano’, hand, can be found in the English word ‘manufacture’.
And the word ‘avión’, plane, is in ‘aviation’.
Finding similarities is addictive and, like most things worth doing, it’s a lot of fun.
