Learning Spanish words can be agony.
First, you have to decide which Spanish words you want to learn. Then you make a list. Then you try to memorise it.
The next day, you go back to your list, and feel like a fool. Because you can’t remember more than a couple of words.
“What’s wrong with my brain?”, you wonder.
Well, the good news is, it’s not your brain that’s letting you down. It’s the infernal list.
Why you can’t learn Spanish words from lists
You see, the human brain doesn’t like being thrown random bits of information at it. It tends to ignore them. That’s why we can’t remember lists of words.
If that’s the case, then how do you learn lots of Spanish words fast? Is it even possible?
It is indeed! In my experience both as a teacher and a language learner, all you need is these two simple steps:
The 2 magic steps to learn Spanish words fast
- Step 1: Listen to the everyday conversations in your Spanish course.
- Step 2: Focus on the words used in those conversations with the help of vocabulary audio flashcards.
By listening to the conversations in your Spanish course you’ll become familiar with new words a lot faster.
By using vocabulary audio flashcards, you’ll remember those words more easily. The more you play your flashcards, the quicker you’ll master Spanish words.
That’s how I’ve learned thousands of English words (and French, German …). And that’s how I’m now learning Japanese. 🙂
